Celebrating the legacy of Spectris Employee Nominations  

The Spectris Community Fund will soon launch. This will see colleagues across Spectris and its operating companies (HBK, Malvern Panalytical, Particle Measuring Systems, SciAps and Servomex) vote to award grants to charities meaningful to them. We are excited to bring colleagues together and support the global philanthropy of the Spectris Group.  

Before we begin this new chapter, we first want to celebrate a prior one: our Employee Nomination programme. Having run from 2022 to 2025, the programme saw colleagues nominate a charity dear to them for a £5,000 (or local currency equivalent) grant.  

Charities were nominated by colleagues from all Spectris businesses. From Japan to Mexico, from Canada to Spain, over 100 grants were awarded to charities around the world, for diverse causes including homelessness, essential healthcare and sports access. Some nominations even initiated a deeper relationship between charities and The Spectris Foundation. For example, we went on to award Flamingo Chicks (pictured above) with a large STEM grant and recently supported their Special Educational Needs advocacy at the UN. 

Employees embodied the Spectris value, ‘Aim High,’ to nominate charities and spark change, and embraced the Foundation’s value of ‘Inclusivity,’ to support beneficiaries from varied backgrounds and locations. Thanks to the enthusiasm and advocacy of Spectris employees, our Employee Nominations programme created a lasting legacy of impact. 

We are excited to launch the Spectris Community Fund in the coming weeks, and to continue supporting the charities around the world which are meaningful to Spectris employees.
