Christel House’s 18-year, kindergarten-to-career model is a global exemplar of holistic, STEM-based education for children experiencing poverty. Our decision to support Christel House is driven by three central attributes: its unwavering focus on those most in need, its proven record of success, and its relentless pursuit of equity in STEM.
The scope of Christel House’s impact is extraordinary. By 2025, its no-fee schools in Bangalore and Atal Nagar (with a third opening in 2025) will serve 2,342 students from the most marginalized communities, prioritizing girls and families with an average monthly income of less than £23 per household member. In a country where 35 million children aged 6-14 are out of school—and where girls are especially at risk of being denied an education—Christel House’s focus on STEM provides a powerful antidote to the cycle of poverty.
