Scarabeus Aerial Theatre’s “Flying into Physics” Project is, at heart, an invitation to experience wonder—a project that reimagines science education for Year 5 primary students in some of London’s most challenging school environments. We have chosen this charity because it blends creativity, accessibility, and evidence-based practice to ignite a lasting interest in science among children who need opportunity the most.
The programme’s approach is kinesthetic and immersive, making abstract concepts tangible through physical experiences such as aerial harnesses and pulleys. Its methods have proven especially effective for children with ADHD, autism, behavioral difficulties, and those with mobility or sensory disabilities. The diversity and needs of beneficiaries are remarkable: nearly half are eligible for free school meals, 57% speak English as an additional language, and 23% have special educational needs—almost double the London average.
By supporting “Flying into Physics,” we are investing in the spark of curiosity that can transform young lives.
